CONSCIOUS CAFE 07 - with THE ART OF EUGENE HALLIDAY & KÄTHE SCHUFTAN exhibition (4)
This exhibition is extended until Easter following the success of its initial run to the end of last year. Re-appearing along side will be our pop-up cafe providing coffee, tea and cake to wash down the culture.

Curated by Naomi Jennings-O’Toole, a young art historian influenced by Eugene Halliday's ideas, working in collaboration with Hephzibah Yohannan, Halliday's and Schuftan’s biographer.
The German Jewish emigree artist Käthe Schuftan and Eugene Halliday were close friends and exhibited together in group exhibitions in Manchester in the 1940s and 1950s. Käthe was also a member of the Manchester Group of artists which included LS Lowry but was forgotten after her death in 1958. This is the first public exhibition of both their works since the 1950’s.

Exhibition also open on Easter Bank Hoiday Monday 13th April 2020 2.00 - 6.00 PM
It is also possible for organised groups of 6 - 30 people to view the exhibition on other occasions by arrangement.
