About the event

Our forthcoming Conscious Cinema Season is all about  films that help us to THINK, FEEL and ACT. We plan to show films on a regular basis in a covid safe environment throughout the Autumn, both outdoors on the garden terrace and indoors.

From challenging documentaries to Hollywood blockbusters, independent and student films from Wales and around  the world, we aim to bring you cinema that will provoke free thinking, feeling, discussion and action.

Each screening will include a short introductory talk by the Hall's Resident Custodian, Dea Murray, a retired award winning film-maker and university lecturer in film & TV production. There will also be a short Q&A after the screening and the option for a follow-up discussion group on the following Wednesday evening after each screening event.

Please come and help us test out our equipment and facilities THIS BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY evening. Enjoy the ambience and fine views, sample our cakes and wide range of teas whilst watching thought provoking films.

The programme will include a selection of Dea's own short films including; 'Who Put the Beat in Merseybeat'', 'My Cousin Wallace', 'Moving As A Massive" and "The Others".

No charge for this event but please, if you can, make a small cash donation towards the Verandah Restoration Fund.

Everyone welcome including first time visitors, locals, members and friends.

Seating and rain cover will be provided.

N.B. Essential to book by RSVP as site parking and numbers will be restricted.

It will be great to see anyone who can make it!
