About the event
This weekend is for anyone wanting to go deeper into yoga as a spiritual practice with an interest in the nature of creation and ultimate reality beyond the limited concepts of material science and Sunday school derived images of the Supreme Being as an old man sitting on a white cloud.
Please click the "Read more" text below in red for full details and costs.
Working both indoors and outdoors in nature (subject to weather conditions), this weekend will consist of discussions, meditations and sharing about the nature of God. Discussions will be interspersed with different meditations, yoga Nidra and deep relaxation.
Using Eugene Hallidays collection of short writings "Essays on God" as a starting point, participants will be invited to explore wide ranging ideas about the nature of the Supreme Being, what God is and is not. These will include such topics as psychic phenomena, and different levels of reality.
"...God is the Absolute, the Infinite Sentient Motion or Power of Eternity, the motions of which pattern themselves as the world.”
- Eugene Halliday, Essays on God
No prior experience of meditation is necessary.
Please bring loose clothing suitable for seated meditation and outdoor clothing suitable for walking in the countryside.
