In the past few decades psychedelic substances, having been outlawed since the 1960’s, are again being licensed for medical research purposes. They are already hailed as being very effective in both helping cancer patients reduce their fear of death, and in treating addiction to alcohol and tobacco.
As psycho active drugs and substances are again being thought of as opening a portal to deep areas of the mind, this fascinating research can throw a new light on how our minds work.
