Conscious Cafe returns from lockdown with a fundraising outdoor, opera concert on the garden terrace. Soprano Naomi Kilby and pianist Elspeth Wilkes have chosen a programme of favourite arias, songs and piano solos that reflect the themes of Hope & Isolation experienced during lockdown,

About the event

This concert in aid of our Verandah Restoration Fund. It will be held in our new outdoor performance space which provides cover if it rains or shade if it’s hot and is Covid regulation compliant up to and including Welsh tier 3 regulations (i.e. the event can still run up to this level of lockdown).

Ticket includes the concert, car parking (minimum of 2 per car), all you can drink tea or coffee plus a slice of cake.

Programme including works by: Claude Debussy, Samuel Barber, Benjamin Britten, Gabriel Fauré and Francis Poulenc. Link to performance preview HERE.

Naomi Kilby (soprano), studied at Birmingham Conservatoire and the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. She is a regular member of the chorus for Opera Holland Park. Her solo credits include Buxton Gilbert & Sullivan Festival, Opera South East and St Alban’s Chamber Opera. In 2012, she formed Opera Alegría, acting as Producer and singer. Roles include Monica The Medium, Aurielle Gold (Madame Herz) The Impresario, Giulia La Scala Di Seta, the title role in Donizetti’s Rita, and Countess Adele in their acclaimed production of Rossini’s Count Ory

Elspeth Wilkes (piano), studied at King’s College, London, Trinity College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. She regularly performs at venues around London including; the Royal Opera House, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Kings Place, The Italian Cultural Institute and Hackney Empire as well as performing recitals and festivals in Greece, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, South Africa, Italy, Edinburgh and Dublin. She has worked with BBC Wales, Royal Ballet, Royal Shakespeare Company and Southbank Sinfonia amongst others and as a musical director with many small scale opera companies.

    This ticket includes parking (minimum of 2 per car), tea and coffee and a piece of cake. Please book all people in the same car as a single booking if possible. This allows us to plan parking arrangements.
